How to Vote by Absentee Ballot in Henniker

Can’t make it to the polls on Election Day? No problem! Voting by absentee ballot is simple and secure.

 

1. Getting Your Absentee Ballot

Request either a Town or State Absentee Ballot Application:

State Absentee Ballot Application

Once completed, return your application to the Henniker Town Clerk’s Office.

 

2. Returning Your Completed Ballot

You have two options for returning your absentee ballot:

 

• By Mail
Tip: To ensure faster delivery, go directly into the Henniker post office and either hand your ballot envelope directly to the postal clerk or go indoors and place it in the Henniker outgoing mailbox. DO NOT PLACE YOUR BALLOT INTO THE DRIVE-UP MAILBOX OUTSIDE THE POST OFFICE, as it may be sent to Manchester, delaying its arrival and possibly missing the deadline.

 

Mail your completed ballot to:

Your ballot must be received by 5:00 p.m. on Election Day.

• In person to the town clerk
You can hand-deliver your ballot to the Town Clerk’s Office no later than 5:00 p.m. on the Monday before Election Day.

Do not place absentee ballots in the drop box. They will not be accepted that way.

• In person to the polling location
You can hand-deliver your ballot to the polling location by 5:00 on Election Day.
